Learning Journey of Civil Procedure II

I still cannot believe law school has come to its end. 5 years in law school, I learn so many things! Not only in legal matter but also life. Honestly, law school is a very dry course in which you need to read, read, read and hey! Keep reading!

So in this post, I would like to share my journey learning Civil Procedure II for my last sem in law school. Hope all of you can imagine how fun and pressure it is 😜

Basically, this subject is a continuation from the last subject that I took. Like for last sem, I already learnt how to draft Writ of Statement and all but this seem I learn something new which is something deeper I think. This sem our lecturer, Dr Shahrul Mizan, Dr Haniwarda and Dr Syafinaz taught us about discovery, appeal, mode of execution and others. So based on the topic we can imagine urgh it's gonna be dry and boring.

But.......

Nah, it turned out not like what we think. Law school is not boring anymore, we can now learning in others way. During class, students are required to download apps like mentimeter, hp reveal and etc as tools for our learning. Like for example we can access our lecturer's slide by key in the code and poof, we can see on our phone's screen. For me I can focus more bcs when it comes to phone everyone will pay attention to their own phone.

Not only that, the best part of this learning journey is when it comes to the assignment. Like usual we are expecting 100 pages document for assignment. But guess we are assert not by papers anymore but through our talent. Groups are divided according to what the students mention of their talent. Like for me, I like acting bcs I know I can speak very well in front of public. But for the student who can't speak in front of public, they will be assert by their writing, singing, photography and many more. Anddddd during this Talent Based Assessment were conducted I was very shocked bcs there is a group who create a game on their own. I was like programming in law school? Know I know everyone have their own talent.

Let me explain about this assessment a bit, it was fun but the context must related to our subject. For example for my group, theatre, we are acting based on the topic of mode of execution. There is scene of judge giving judgement, client consultation and of course the story line itself. Everyone enjoy the show so much

After we are having fun, our lecturer decided to test our capability in different concept which they called the test PRESSURE ASSESSMENT TEST. This assessment is not a joke. We were given 6 to 7 task by Google link. We need to complete in 4 hours. The task are not simple okay!

There is a pre trial case management you need to attend which you booked your own slot through court's booking system. You need to draft documents and consult partners (real practising lawyer), there is commissioner of oath, you need to advise client (non-ukm staff), and also their is trial! I found out, there are many student who can finished the task but thank God I finished all of them!! I manage to go for ptcm, advise client, drafting documents, even attend a trial

It was really pressure but I know my capability in which  I know how to multitask and I worked efficiently during pressure.

Lastlu after this beautiful learning journey, I realized my talent and skills and its lead me to decide my future in which I am planning to practising civil litigation!

Kudos to all lecturers that teach us this subject. Thank you so much for putting so much effort towards us. I really hope all of us can repay your kindness and knowledge by our success to make all of you proud (I'm literally crying rn)

I think I wrote so much but this is all deep in my heart bcs after this I will be graduating so I put it all here in this post.

Let's put some pictures for memories🌈
